Christian radio tycoon ( see www.wecanknow.com ) predicts that the Rapture will happen on May 21 –and the world will end Oct 21– and surprising numbers believe him. Very disturbing news for those who are anxious to watch Oprah Winfrey’s final episode airing May 25. And i still have a car payment May 5??

  I know i  say these things with a hint of skepticism..  I truly believe in the Rapture of the believers.  I long for that event as do multitudes of followers of Christ.  What do we not get about “no man knows the day or hour…..?”

We are not consumed…

One of my favorite scriptures is from Lamentations 3.  It starts out saying.. “Because of the Lord’s great love.. we are not consumed..”  And while that is true- — our God is a consuming fire,  it sounds so harsh…. so Old Testament.  Another meaning for that word consumed is (depleted).  You might like reading it this way.  “Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not depleted..”  This world certainly depletes us.  The aging process wears us away.  Pressures of life, finances, relationships… all have a way of reducing our strength, vitality and joy.   Ahh.. but we are not consumed by these…”His mercies never fail.. they are new every morning!”  Count on that.  Lovingly remind God of his promises and what he reveals about himself in his word.

Another scripture says that “A noble wife is her husbands’ crown.” We are called to be the bride of Christ. Could it be that we are his crown?
